This weekend signals the beginning of spring for us, a time when Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League, PTA and Science Fairs conspire to see us brain dead by summer. This weekend we have baseball practice, a school auction, the pinewood derby, Girl Scout cookie sales, homework, a math test for me to grade, science fair projects and a leprechaun trap all demanding our attention, not to mention a delicious play party I might just be too exhausted to attend on Saturday night. Just contemplating it all is making my head spin.
So, instead of writing a pithy monologue on the state of my psyche, I thought it would be nice to share a little eye candy distraction with y’all.
First up is my gorgeous partner Kyle, who knows a thing or two about being over-scheduled with family obligations. It’s his birthday on Sunday (it’s so cool my boyfriend was born on Pi Day!!), and he’s the focus of today’s Butch Swoon List over at Femme Fairy Godmother. I’m giving him three presents for his birthday – one is practical, one is silly and romantic, and one will be sexy, if I can get it finished today. Head on over and wish him a big ol’ happy birthday when you get the chance.
Second, I want to send you over to see Fivestar’s version of “I Kissed a Girl.” Not only is it damn sexy, and a great cover, she includes an intro below it that talks about falling for girls who are just “experimenting” – definitely a bad habit I seem to have, too.
I’m gonna embed the Youtube version here, but you really should head over to her blog to see all the wonderful music and kink she’s got there. Full disclosure – I have a full-on, no-hopes-of-hiding-it mega crush on her, and, having met her in person, I can say that she’s just as smart and funny and sweet and sexy and beautiful in the flesh (yep, totally unbiased opinion there.) And that smile? I was a goner before I even knew it.
Enjoy, but don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

oh sweetheart, thank you for all the wonderful birthday presents and attention, you are the sweetest, bestest, sexiest girlfriend a boy could have.
I second you on the Fivestar crush.. dayamn, that girl has it all: looks, talent, sass.. very crush-worthy indeed. And that cover of I kissed a girl is way better than the original.
