A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to the Center for Sex & Culture in San Francisco and photograph the amazing Jiz Lee. It was an incredible experience, both in getting to photograph an intensely sexual and beautiful individual, and also in getting to hang with “real” photographers and watch how they do what they do. I did have to spend a bit of time trying to convince myself that it isn’t the size of my lens, it’s how you use it because, well, let’s face it – I’ve got a very small lens. One of the photographers there even mentioned that he was impressed that I thought to bring only the bare essentials with me, completely overlooking the fact that I just brought everything I had. Yes, I suffered from massive lens, and flash, envy at the shoot, but everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, and I even managed to keep up with most of the conversations. (Except f-stops. They are the bane of my existence. I wonder if there’s a support group for beginning photographers with a fear of jargon.)
Because I don’t have releases to print pictures of Jiz, here are a couple pictures of the studio to give you an idea of the shoot:
If you’d like to see all the pictures I took, plus pictures that were taken by the other photographers, head over here, to Jiz’s web page. Yes, the photographs are on a pay site, but the proceeds go to support the Center for Sex and Culture, which is a wonderful community resource, and it only costs $7.99 to get 30 days of access to the amazing photos (and I truly do mean amazing. The money shots have been known to induce spontaneous orgasmic pleasure. Just sayin’)
So earn yourself a little pervy karma while you enjoy yourself with this incredible performer. (Did I mention that Jiz was a dancer? You NEED to see the muscles, the grace, the way an Njoy Eleven is held without using hands or feet…)
Trust me, luvvies, you’ll thank me in the morning.

Oh yeah, those are amazing shots and well worth the price of admission. As a fellow Jiz Lee fan, I am suffering some serious fanboy envy. I’m really happy you got the opportunity. In looking at your shots in context with the rest, I can assure you that you have nothing to feel shy about with your photographic skills. You are good, you captured some great images and I love the color in your money shots especially. Rich and saturated and gorgeous.
It’s a very cool project and I’m proud of you, baby.
